I thought I would share some of my favourite pieces in my home.
This was my Mum's first sewing machine, she used to make some of our clothes and our school uniforms with this machine, also with original books. I also have some of the old patterns she used.
Another piece I love is this old dressing table which I picked up at an antique store for the bargain price of $75, I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked at the price. I said yep, I will have that! I couldn't believe how it was in such good condition for the price. I must say it does go perfect in my bedroom and I love the handles on the drawers.
Next is from my kitchen, these old shop scales I got for a bargain too....$35 at a local market, I was so excited when I seen them sitting on the back of a truck from a distance, I think I pushed everyone out the way to get to them..Steve said he has never seen me move so fast..he go his back, he had to carry them to the car...lol. Boy that man had a some good stuff, but haven't seen him back there since that one time...maybe that's a good thing!!
The old milkshake machine I bought from a yard sale years ago, they had everything there. The milkshake cups, milk scoop and ice cream scoop I have picked up at different places along the way to complete the set.
Last is my collection of kitchen scales, the white ones where my Mum's too!
That is some of my favourite things in my home. Wait until you see my tin collection...too many to list, so that can be for another time!!
Enjoy your day.
Karen

Hi Tania,
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you too! I am a follower on your blog now too. Great garden you have, mine is only small.
Look forward to reading your blogs.
This post brings back so many memories for me, My parents used to own a service station in a small country town when I was young, we used to have an old milkshake maker like this, it made such yummy thick milkshakes, we also used to have those big old white scales for weighing the fruit and veg we sold. Talking about scales, I also have those same white scales (like your mums) in my kitchen too. You have a lovely collection. :)
