A Break Away....

Over Easter Bailey and I went down the coast to stay with some friends, we had a great time while we were there and the weather was perfect.
We went to Pambula to visit the Oaklands Barn Garden Centre.  What a lovely place this was, it has the garden nursery, an old wares shop (no I didn't buy anything from there), a cafe and a farmyard nursery.
This is the front of the old barn building, this is the old wares shop.

Behind the old telephone box is the entrance to the garden nursery and cafe.

The old windmill and cart were in the carpark (I would love this in my backyard!!)

This is the entrance to the conference centre, all the woodwork looks great.  Inside was lovely, it would be a lovely room for a country wedding.

I had to take this photo....it's of the hand basin in the toilets...how good does that look!

I didn't go to see the animals, which I wanted to, but there were too many kids as it was school holidays.  This place is well worth a visit if you are ever in the area.

We also visited Tilba. This place is lovely.  This is Foxglove Spires which has a cafe, shops, garden nursery and the beautiful Foxglove Spires Gardens.  I didn't visit the gardens this time as I did it a couple of years ago and the best time to see it is in spring/summer when all the flowers are in bloom.

Looking up to the nursery

This is the countryside of Tilba, just stunning! A few kilometres to the left is the ocean....the perfect place to be.

This is the view from a Restaurant that we had lunch at in Narooma, picture perfect.

And the pelicans and seagulls joined us too!

We went to the beach.

The island out to sea is Montague Island.

This is the view from my friends driveway.

This staghorm is growing under the balcony at my friends house, I can't believe how big it is. Obviously the perfect spot for it!

The cherub on the ball I purchased from Oaklands.

I was given this lovely gift of the boy lying down from a good friend (she is very naughty for buying it)....but isn't he so cute!

While I was away I asked a neighbour to get my mail and I also gave her my house keys, just in case.  When I arrived home I found this lovely basket of goodies, homemade bread and roses on my dining table.

In the basket was a pumpkin, chillies, capsicums, limes, lemons, beans, cherry tomatoes (all home grown), a jar of onion relish, crackers and in the fridge were olives and cheese.

This is the homemade grain bread that another lovely neighbour made.

They both spoilt me so much and what a lovely surprise to come home to. It was a lovely gesture from them both.

Last but not least, we had a surprise lunch for my Dad's 80th Birthday last Saturday. It was only small with our family and Dad's two younger brothers.  Dad was very overwhelmed by it all and surprised, but he had a lovely day.
Happy Birthday Dad!

Enjoy your day!
xx
